Brenda Cervantes

Brenda Cervantes is an English Literary Studies major and will be graduating next Spring. After graduating she hopes to pursue doctoral studies in contemporary literature. Brenda is excited to be a part of Harvest International this year and can’t wait to share her passion for reading and writing with everyone.

Chelsea Brinkworth

Chelsea Brinkworth is currently a Literary Studies major completing her final semester at Cal Poly Pomona. Aside from school, Chelsea enjoys reading, writing, cinema, art, and debating. She is excited to be a part of Harvest International and wants to create a space for young students to express their stories, ideas, and experiences creatively.

Evelyn Peña

Evelyn Peña is an English Literary Studies major with a minor in TESOL at Cal Poly Pomona, graduating Fall 2020. Evelyn enjoys reading, writing, and playing music on the guitar/ukulele.

Jeehoon Bang

Submissions Team

Jeehoon Bang is currently a Senior at Cal Poly Pomona with a major in English literature and a minor in writing.  He is interested in reading classical literary artist like John Steinbeck and Scott Fitzgerald. He is also fluent in Korean and English.

Samara Gomez is a Literature major Cal Poly Pomona, graduating fall 2020. Her main interests in literature pertain to fantasy, Latino/Latina lit, 19th century lit, and feminist texts. Samara is thrilled to be a part of the submissions team for this year’s Harvest’s fall publication.

Anhely Hernandez

Anhely “Nel” Hernandez is an English Literature student at Cal Poly Pomona, and is hoping to graduate this upcoming spring. After graduation, they hope to become an editor, which has led to their involvement with Harvest International. Alongside their team, Nel hopes to be able to produce quality zines that both entertain, inform, and provide artists of all kinds with a solid platform to present their work.

Kimberly Aceves

Kimberly Aceves is an English Literary Studies major and will be graduating from Cal Poly Pomona in the Spring of 2021. She is an avid reader and is open-minded to all genres. Kimberly is thrilled to be a part of Harvest International as she believes she can grow as a writer, reader, and editor.

Marina Leyvas-Bruce is an English Literary Studies major and will be graduating from Cal Poly Pomona in Spring of 2021. Marina is happy to be apart of Harvest International as it is an amazing platform that provides an outlet for many aspiring writers to publish their works.

Nicole is an English Literary Studies major and set to graduate this upcoming Spring. After graduating, she hopes to obtain a Masters in Psychology to become a therapist. Harvest International is an amazing platform for people to express themselves to connect through both written and visual arts, and Nicole is excited to be apart of that process to help people share their work.

Steve Martinez is an English Literary Studies major and will be graduating Fall of 2020. On his off time he enjoys running marathons, Olympic weightlifting, and reading Rick Riordan books.

Giselle Gradilla is a senior at Cal Poly Pomona. She is majoring in Literary Studies and minoring in TESOL. She enjoys baking, painting, and learning new languages on her free time. She hopes to pursue a master’s degree in TESOL and looks to pursue a career in teaching.

Dr. Liam Corley

Faculty Advisor

Dr. Liam Corley has been fostering the arts at Cal Poly since 2005. He’s coordinated a longstanding poetry workshop. He teaches American Literature and Creative Writing in the English & Modern Languages Department.
