Rush

By Karina Jauregui

Lately, I feel life is going too fast. As my twenty-sixth birthday approaches, I can't help but think about where time has gone. This could be due to the pandemic as I was twenty-three when I first heard of this terrible virus making its rounds. Lockdown helped us slow down and reconnect with ourselves despite the apparent fear and uncertainty. I felt like many of us needed this time to work on ourselves and do things we had not done in so long. As the world began to settle back to “normal”, it seemed like many were in a rush to catch up and gain back the year, now two, that we lost. We are back to racing through life and there is no slowing down.
