Anne Rice's Interview With the Vampire

If you are looking for a book to read for spooky season (Fall), here is one to grab off the shelves! This book is abundant with seductive vampires, death, coffins, and more! Anne Rice’s novel is a legend in the vampire genre that overshadows many other stories (Twilight who?). Rice’s writing style is uniquely sophisticated and keeps you yearning to learn more about the characters. Who doesn’t love a vampire drama? You may have seen the movie adaptation, with the dreamy Brad Pitt as the main vampire protagonist (1994). Yet, the film does not compare to the book since it contains evocative details that are excluded in the movie. The storyline of the book is rich and suspenseful. Meanwhile, the characters are well rounded and you will be invested in them shortly after starting the book. You may even want to continue reading sequels of The Vampire Chronicles. Overall, this book is perfect to curl up with on a chilly Fall moonlit night.
